The Senior Revenue Cycle Billing Specialist serves as a front-line resource for staff inquiries, coaching, and training related to healthcare claim submission.
Responsibilities include managing all aspects of claim submission lifecycle, including claim review, rejection handling, denial review, resubmission, and collections follow-up with insurance companies. The role supports billing management projects and ensures timely, accurate billing.
The specialist assists with training new staff, assigns workload, and maintains productivity standards. They analyze claims for errors, maintain knowledge of payer requirements, work with various departments for claim accuracy, and escalate issues as needed.
Additional duties involve reviewing accounts to confirm payments, managing denials, credit balances, appeals, and documenting all activities in billing systems. The position requires adaptability to changing department needs and completion of special projects.
Candidates must have at least three years of healthcare billing experience in hospital, professional, or medical office settings and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and EMR software such as Cerner, Athena, or Epic.
Work schedule: 40 hours per week, daytime hours.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of healthcare billing experience in hospital, professional, or medical office setting.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
