Billing Specialist

FloMed Infusion is an outpatient infusion clinic providing medical infusions and injections in a relaxing ambulatory environment. This position is for an experienced Insurance Payor Collections Specialist focused on reviewing and evaluating insurance denials or returned claims.

Responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining HIPAA compliance, documenting all relevant information and follow-ups in the electronic records system, monitoring processed claims for accurate payments, collaborating with insurance payers to confirm eligibility and financial responsibility, pursuing appeals and reconsiderations for denials, supporting billing-related tasks, investigating rejected claims, detecting patterns in denials, and communicating to resolve outstanding balances.

Candidate must have experience in medical collections or accounts payable/receivable, strong understanding of financial and accounting principles related to the revenue cycle, excellent communication skills, proficiency in financial software, knowledge of account analysis, strong math skills, ability to work independently managing multiple accounts, and commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
