The position involves resolving front end errors and payer rejections, collecting reimbursements by reviewing insurance rejections and EOBs, contacting providers and clients to resolve claim discrepancies, adjusting claims, processing refunds, and handling medical record requests.
They require a high school diploma or Medical Billing Certification, 1-2 years of billing and insurance experience, knowledge of ICD10, CPT, HCPCS codes, medical terminology, 1-2 years in A/R follow-up and denials, Excel skills, and basic understanding of medical billing compliance.
