Position Overview: MedEx is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our Billing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all billing-related activities, including patient billing, report verification, and record maintenance. Your expertise will play a critical role in optimizing our billing processes and supporting our mission to provide exceptional service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process and manage patient billing information for medical transport services.
- Review and verify billing reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Maintain meticulous records of billing transactions, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and address patient inquiries.
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices related to medical billing procedures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of billing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of medical billing procedures, systems, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of data with accuracy.
- Proficient in using billing software and other relevant technology.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Possess a valid State Driver’s License.
- Must be physically able to meet the demands of the position.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
