Workit Health is an industry-leading provider of on-demand, evidence-based telemedicine care focused on addiction treatment and recovery. This position involves working with rejections and denials related to medical billing, primarily for addiction medicine and outpatient medication-assisted treatment, with experience in telemedicine billing preferred.
The RCM Specialist will handle insurance verification, claims processing, appeals, and communications with patients, providers, and payers. The role requires proficiency with medical software and EHR systems, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of claims and communications efficiently.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM local time, with a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) at locations including Albany, NY.

- 1-2 years of medical billing experience
- Experience billing for addiction medicine and/or outpatient medication-assisted treatment preferred
- Experience calling health insurance plans required
- Proficiency with medical software, insurance websites, and EHR systems (Elation or Candid preferred)
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle problem-solving
- Experience with MS Word and Google Sheets or MS Excel
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- CPC or CPB certification is a plus but not required
- Payment Posting experience is a plus but not required
