Intake Specialist

TMF Health Quality Institute

This role provides lead work and subject matter expertise through technical support and one-on-one training. Responsibilities include computing, classifying, recording and maintaining numerical data following regulations and policies to keep financial records complete, and performing general office duties. The specialist ensures completeness of disputes before forwarding to a Dispute Resolution Reviewer (DRR), confirming administrative fees have been received and accepted.

Key duties:

  • Serve as lead and subject matter expert for Dispute Resolution Analysts and Clerks.
  • Review documentation and communicate with insurance carriers and providers.
  • Analyze medical billings for appropriate payment classifications.
  • Use knowledge to resolve pricing dispute issues.
  • Access electronic financial payment information to answer account-related questions.
  • Assist with contract/project questions, including compliance with CMS guidelines.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, four years general office experience (college or technical training can substitute), and preferred experience in general accounting and healthcare industry.
