Patient Account Representative II - Rev Cycle

As a Patient Account Representative II, you will play a key role in managing the back-end functions of the revenue cycle, specializing in insurance follow-up and denial resolution to ensure timely collection of medical claims within regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include managing multiple work queues for claim follow-up and denials, reviewing correspondence, identifying denial trends to prevent future delays, pursuing appeals to resolve accounts, analyzing accounts for errors and adjustments, and maintaining clear documentation of all actions and communications related to account resolution.

This position requires working remotely from Texas with 2-4 weeks onsite training in Houston at 1851 Crosspoint Ave, 77054.

Skills needed include basic knowledge of patient billing or collections procedures in a healthcare setting, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and 10-key, with strong math skills.

Minimum education required is a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least three years of hospital or medical collections experience and understanding of third-party reimbursement and relevant healthcare regulations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and 10-key
  • Ability to manage multiple work queues and follow up on claims
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must reside in Texas and be able to attend 2-4 weeks onsite training in Houston
  • Able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
  • This is a security sensitive position; ability to maintain security of infrastructure is required
