The role is for a Billing Specialist focused on charge entry and claims process for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Chronic Care Management (CCM) services. The candidate must be proficient with NextGen software and Medicare billing for specialized care management programs, ensuring compliant billing, optimizing reimbursement, and managing claim denials.
Key responsibilities include accurate charge and claim management using NextGen, ensuring coding compliance with procedural and diagnosis codes, monitoring and resolving claim denials, maintaining detailed documentation in practice management and electronic health records, and staying current with relevant CPT/HCPCS codes such as 99453, 99454, 99457, 99458, 99445, 99470, 99490, and 99439.
Qualifications require a minimum of 3 years medical billing experience, proficiency with NextGen, strong knowledge of Medicare billing guidelines related to RPM and CCM, and preferred certification in medical coding and billing (e.g., CPC, CPC-A, RHIT, CCS). The position demands detail orientation, strong organizational and communication skills.
Work location: Hybrid remote based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.
