The Patient Accounts Representative plays a vital role in the Revenue Cycle team by managing billing follow-up, collecting payments, resolving account balances, handling denials and claim resubmissions, and providing excellent customer service to patients and internal stakeholders.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential for a hybrid schedule (2-3 days on-site).
The role involves reviewing and correcting insurance claim denials, processing Explanation of Benefits, communicating professionally with patients and insurance companies, documenting payments and denials, managing credit balances and refunds, collaborating with collection agencies, supporting process improvement, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Proof of various vaccinations and immunization records is required prior to employment.

- Completion of a billing program or technical school preferred, or 1-2 years related billing experience in medical and/or dental settings
- Interpretation of insurance coverage, copayments, deductibles, and payment plans
- EPIC experience preferred
- CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, CHCS certifications preferred
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical documents
- Strong communication skills for correspondence and client interactions
- Problem-solving skills using HealthPoint Lean Management System
- Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
