Responsibilities include performing dental cleanings such as scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup, conducting thorough patient assessments including reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status, assisting dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques, taking and developing dental radiographs while adhering to infection control protocols, educating patients on proper oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions, maintaining accurate medical records compliant with HIPAA, and supporting infection control procedures including instrument sterilization.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix for documentation and record keeping
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding practices
- Excellent patient care skills with effective and compassionate communication
- Prior dental office or clinic experience demonstrating chairside assisting, infection control, and medical records management skills
Pay rate is $48.00 - $50.00 per hour. Work location is in person. Benefits include flexible schedule, health insurance, and paid time off.
