Westerkamp Group, LLC is an Accounts Receivable Management company specializing in hospital and professional billing and collections. They are seeking a Professional Billing Patient Account Representative to manage third-party professional follow-up, billing, and re-billing services for hospital clients. This is a remote position available to candidates located in Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Alabama.
The role involves contacting third-party payers to verify eligibility, obtain claim status, and resolve CMS 1500/837P claims. The representative will use internal and online follow-up tools, analyze account balances, CPT and HCPCS codes, denial and remittance codes to root out denial causes, maintain workqueues, and review paper correspondence to fulfill payer requests. The position requires adherence to HIPAA compliance guidelines.
Qualifications include strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, proficiency with patient accounting and billing systems, adaptability, and teamwork. Experience with Epic PB collections and follow-up, Hospital Billing, and Professional Billing is preferred. A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
