Senior Epic Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Analyst

Xtensys is a rapidly growing managed service provider delivering cutting-edge technology to health systems, initially in New York and expanding beyond. They seek a Senior Epic Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Analyst to join their 500-person team, focused on collaborative innovation and strategic leadership.

The role involves providing advanced system-level support for Epic Hospital Billing applications, including installation, configuration, maintenance, training, and end user support. It requires managing multiple projects, leading planning sessions, and coordinating with clinical, operational, and IT teams to ensure successful software application outcomes.

Key responsibilities include ownership of tasks, decision-making, setting and meeting challenging goals, adaptability to change, leading innovation, and strong project management including timeline and resource coordination. You will act as a liaison across departments, promote customer service excellence, and support ongoing staff training.

Qualifications:

  • 4 to 6+ years of hands-on Epic build experience; 5 years relevant leadership experience
  • Expertise in Hospital Billing (HB), revenue cycle workflows, medical terminology, and payer requirements
  • Experience with full lifecycle system builds, testing, validation, and troubleshooting claims
  • Technical skills in configuring charge router, claims, remits, SBO, and patient statements
  • Ability to design claim edit rules to optimize revenue cycle
  • Proven collaboration with Revenue, Clinical, and IT teams
  • Aptitude for strategic troubleshooting and sustainable solutions
  • Leadership in mentoring junior analysts and assisting with large implementations
  • Excellent communication to facilitate interactions between stakeholders and users
  • Preferred experience supporting Epic Community Connect partners
  • Willingness to participate in scheduled on-call rotation for system support

Education/certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Required: Resolute Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance Administration certification
  • Preferred: PMP, Resolute Hospital Billing Administration, Resolute Hospital Billing Charging

Travel: Approximately 25% during implementation phases

Physical requirements: Primarily sedentary work with occasional walking or standing
