Supervises the operational training of employees within Patient Financial Services. Experienced in medical billing and accounts receivable (AR), developing and updating training materials for all operational aspects of the Patient Financial Services team. Monitors daily productivity, conducts quality assurance checks, and reports data to the Manager of Patient Financial Services. Suggests new workflows for operational efficiency and collaborates with IT analysts to implement improvements. Diagnoses and resolves EHR issues alongside IT team. Provides backup support to the Manager of Patient Financial Services.
Requires in-depth knowledge of healthcare billing and collection compliance regulations, reimbursement methodologies, and medical coding. Thorough understanding of Healthcare Revenue Cycle and ability to streamline workflows through cross-department collaboration.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of Epic system preferred. Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively convey ideas and instructions. Knowledge of traditional and modern training methods with adaptability to individual learning styles.
Demonstrates accountability, integrity, punctuality, time management, and professionalism. A Bachelor's degree is required. CRCR certification is preferred.
Key responsibilities include creating and updating training materials, developing training schedules for new hires and continuing education, tracking staff progress, conducting QA checks, monitoring staff productivity, compiling reports for management, recommending additional training, staying informed on regulatory changes and best practices, and providing operational support as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
