NeoGenomics is hiring a Strategic Reimbursement Analyst to support reimbursement strategy through review and interpretation of payer coverage and payment policies across Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial payers. This temporary remote position involves analyzing reimbursement data, creating Excel-based reports, and delivering insights to support accurate payment and informed business decisions.
Key responsibilities include reviewing payer policies related to coverage, coding, and reimbursement, supporting reimbursement projects, conducting analytical reviews and audits, analyzing large datasets, creating routine and ad hoc reports, assisting with LCD and NCD interpretation and system setup, evaluating reimbursement for new test launches, and analyzing reimbursement trends and denial patterns.
- Associate degree preferred or minimum of 3 years experience in reimbursement, billing, business analytics, or related healthcare field
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Experience with payer coverage and payment policies
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and Commercial reimbursement
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, summaries)
- Ability to synthesize large datasets into actionable insights
- Familiarity with oncology, pathology, molecular, or specialty testing preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally
