Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and education to promote optimal oral health. Your expertise will support our commitment to delivering comprehensive general dentistry services in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include performing dental cleanings (scaling and polishing), conducting patient assessments (vital signs, medical history, oral health status), educating patients on oral hygiene and preventive care, assisting with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry, taking and interpreting X-rays following aseptic and infection control protocols, reviewing medical records for accuracy and HIPAA compliance, collaborating with dentists on treatment plans, documentation review, and medical coding for billing, maintaining accurate records in EMR systems (Eaglesoft or Dentrix), ensuring sterile environment and instrument sterilization, and supporting pediatric dentistry cases.

Experience required: Proven experience as Dental Hygienist in fast-paced dental office or clinic, familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred, knowledge of pediatric dentistry advantageous, strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures, effective communication skills with patients of all ages, experience with dental assisting and chairside support, and certification as Registered Dental Hygienist per state licensing.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Certified Registered Dental Hygienist as per state licensing
  • Proven experience working in dental office or clinic
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices
  • Strong knowledge of infection control, aseptic techniques and sterilization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all age groups
  • Experience providing dental assisting duties and chairside support
