Responsibilities include performing thorough dental cleanings with scaling and polishing, conducting patient assessments with vital signs and medical history review, educating patients on oral hygiene and preventive care, assisting the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques, taking and developing dental radiographs while maintaining strict infection control, accurately documenting patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, and monitoring patient responses during procedures to ensure optimal care.
Requirements: Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials, experience in general or pediatric dentistry (pediatric dentistry preferred), proficiency with dental software platforms like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, strong knowledge of dental terminology and infection control protocols, ability to perform patient assessment skills accurately, excellent communication skills for patient education and teamwork, and knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
Pay rate ranges from $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.
