Machinify, a leading healthcare intelligence company, is seeking a Healthcare Billing Recovery Analyst to manage assigned provider portfolios from a recovery perspective. This role involves leveraging expertise in Coordination of Benefits, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and conducting outbound communications with providers to resolve medical billing issues.
Key responsibilities include engaging in recovery calls to healthcare carriers and providers, reviewing documentation to assess overpayment allegations, maintaining knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid policies, researching overpayments, educating providers and carriers, analyzing explanation of benefits (EOB) communications, supporting internal teams with billing and collections interpretation, creating provider-centric reports using Excel, adhering to productivity metrics, maintaining accurate system records, and complying with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Candidates should have strong communication skills, knowledge in healthcare billing, coding, medical terminology, and recovery or revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred. The role requires self-motivation, critical thinking, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to communicate via phone extensively in a quiet environment.
