Dental Hygienist

Yancho Family Dentistry

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our professional dental team. This role involves providing comprehensive oral health services focused on patient education, preventive care, and infection control in a supportive environment.

Work in a highly desirable Fee For Service office (no insurance) known for quality dentistry and good treatment of team members. Experience is not necessary, but confidence and high skill level are required. People skills are mandatory. Anesthesia and N2O certification preferred but training and CE payment available for the right candidate. Part time position available 2 days per week (Tuesday/Wednesday preferred; Thursday possible). Patient scheduling is made by the hygienist based on patient needs, not production.

Duties include performing dental prophylaxis (cleaning, scaling, polishing), conducting patient assessments, assisting in pediatric dentistry procedures, using Eaglesoft EMR for documentation, taking radiographs, educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Requirements include valid Dental Hygienist licensure and current certification, proficiency or willingness to learn EMR systems, knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, ability to assist in dental coding, and excellent patient care skills.

Pay starts at $55.00 per hour.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification
  • Proficiency or training available for EMR systems like Eaglesoft
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and dental imaging procedures
  • Ability to assist with dental coding when necessary
  • Excellent patient care skills with compassionate approach
