Duties include:
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to their needs
- Assist in chairside procedures by providing support during treatments such as sealants, fluoride applications, and minor restorations
- Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to safeguard patient and staff health
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver seamless, efficient care in general and pediatric dentistry settings
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
- Experience in dental office environments with familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and experience working with children highly desirable
- Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques
- Excellent patient care skills with ability to assess patient needs effectively
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday (8-5pm), Friday (7-1pm), flexible; can work Monday and Friday only.
Pay: $75 - $85 per hour
Work Location: In person in Albany, CA
- Current licensure as Registered Dental Hygienist
