Orchard Mental Health Group (OMHG) is a comprehensive, insurance-based behavioral health practice with over 135 clinicians in Maryland and the DMV metro area, providing therapy, psychological testing, and psychiatric medication management across the lifespan.
The role adds a Registered Dietitian to the clinical team to integrate nutrition services into a multidisciplinary mental health care model.
Responsibilities include providing medical nutrition therapy and evidence-based nutrition counseling to outpatients, billing insurance with appropriate CPT codes, coordinating care with behavioral health providers, shaping clinical protocols and documentation standards, counseling patients on conditions linked to mental health diagnoses such as diabetes, GI issues, weight management, disordered eating, and medication-related metabolic effects, and contributing to patient education and quality improvement efforts.
Candidates must have an active RD or RDN credential, Maryland Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist (or eligibility), National Provider Identifier and CAQH ProView profile, at least 1 year clinical experience preferably outpatient, and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment with patients across all ages.
The position is insurance-based requiring RD/RDN credential for payer credentialing. Experience with behavioral health populations, CDCES certification, and familiarity with MNT billing codes (97802, 97803, 97804) are preferred.
Compensation is hourly ($35-$45/hour) with bonuses and sign-on bonus, starting part-time with potential to move full-time, offering continuing education support and growth opportunities.
Work location is hybrid remote in Rockville, MD 20850.
- Active RD or RDN credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Maryland Licensed Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) licensure, or eligibility to obtain
- National Provider Identifier (NPI) and CAQH ProView profile (or willingness to complete prior to start)
- At least 1 year clinical experience, preferably outpatient
