The Supervisor of Specialty Claims & Accounts Receivable oversees billing operations and third-party account follow-up across all HMH facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and organizational revenue cycle goals. Responsibilities include supervising analysts and billing staff, monitoring claims submission and EDI transactions, managing clearinghouse applications, and resolving payer issues across various payers including HMO, Blue Cross, Commercial, Government, and Managed Care.
This role also involves system administration for billing applications, collaborating with IT and vendors on claim submission systems, leading revenue cycle performance meetings, and driving process improvements to maximize cash collections and reduce denials. The supervisor provides training and support to team members and manages vendor relations and payer dispute resolutions.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 4 years in healthcare billing or health insurance claims, familiarity with medical billing practices, strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and proficiency with electronic billing systems. Experience with Epic Hospital Billing and Assurance is preferred.
