As a Resident Account Specialist – Medicaid, you will manage and oversee Medicaid billing operations, supporting residents, families, and coordinating with external partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing weekly Medicaid billing and patient statements accurately and timely
- Managing MLTC and Fee-for-Service billing ensuring compliance
- Acting as United Healthcare I-SNP liaison for enrollment and insurance inquiries
- Tracking authorizations, eligibility, and payer updates
- Handling Medicaid pending accounts, collaborating with families, county offices, and attorneys
- Completing Medicaid recertifications and managing NAMI updates
- Maintaining accurate resident financial records
- Responding professionally to billing inquiries
- Monitoring accounts receivable and supporting collections as needed
- Collaborating with leadership to resolve issues and improve processes
Requirements:
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred or equivalent experience
- 3+ years healthcare billing experience focused on Medicaid and UB04 claims
- Knowledge of MLTC, Medicaid regulations, and insurance billing systems
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy
