As a Resident Account Specialist – Medicaid, you will manage and oversee Medicaid billing operations, supporting residents, families, and coordinating with external partners.

Responsibilities include:

Processing weekly Medicaid billing and patient statements accurately and timely
Managing MLTC and Fee-for-Service billing ensuring compliance
Acting as United Healthcare I-SNP liaison for enrollment and insurance inquiries
Tracking authorizations, eligibility, and payer updates
Handling Medicaid pending accounts, collaborating with families, county offices, and attorneys
Completing Medicaid recertifications and managing NAMI updates
Maintaining accurate resident financial records
Responding professionally to billing inquiries
Monitoring accounts receivable and supporting collections as needed
Collaborating with leadership to resolve issues and improve processes

Requirements:

Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred or equivalent experience
3+ years healthcare billing experience focused on Medicaid and UB04 claims
Knowledge of MLTC, Medicaid regulations, and insurance billing systems
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy
