The MAC Rx Billing Department is seeking a Billing Collector to join our team! The main job function of this role is to make and receive customer phone calls regarding questions on invoices, account demographics, and more.
Responsibilities include reviewing patient face sheets for payer information, managing outstanding private collection accounts, sending letters at different intervals in the collection process, collaborating with management on account holds, assisting with daily admissions as needed, verifying insurance information, rebilling accounts, and sending monthly statements.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience working in a pharmacy long-term care setting
- Knowledge of major insurance carrier reimbursement guidelines
- Illinois Pharmacy Technician License required
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
Skills:
- Proficient in computer use and keyboarding
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and guidelines
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented with strong task prioritization
- Able to maintain composure on customer calls
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary offered hourly ($19.00 - $21.00) and a full suite of benefits including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Work location is hybrid remote in Des Plaines, IL.
- Illinois Pharmacy Technician License (required)

- 1 year LTC pharmacy experience (preferred)
- 1 year Framework LTC software experience (preferred)
- Ability to relocate to Des Plaines, IL prior to starting work
