Health Services of North Texas (HSNT), the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Denton County, seeks a Billing Coordinator with strategic leadership and revenue cycle management expertise to optimize revenue processes. This role focuses on accurate billing for Medicare, Medicaid, self-pay/uninsured, and commercial insurance, ensuring compliance with payer requirements. Responsibilities include account receivable management, claims processing and corrections, research and resolution of credit balances, patient payment posting, insurance data updates, and providing compassionate patient and insurance communication. HSNT serves a diverse patient population providing high-quality primary and chronic care.
Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of progressive billing experience, preferably in a FQHC or rural health clinic setting, knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with eClinicalWorks and insurance billing/reimbursement processes including Medicare, Medicaid, MVA, and Workers Compensation. Strong communication, customer service skills, adaptability, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are essential. This role supports remote work up to 95% of the time.

Minimum 1 year progressive billing experience preferred, 2 years desired. High school diploma or GED required; some higher education preferred. FQHC or Rural Health Clinic billing experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred.
