Bookkeeper / Insurance Billing

Access Solutions is a residential remodeling company specializing in modifications to homes that improve accessibility related to health conditions. They are seeking a versatile Bookkeeper & Insurance Biller to join their team. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records including accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, and general ledger maintenance. It requires managing specialized insurance billing for environmental modifications, navigating insurance portals, and ensuring claims are submitted accurately and timely. The position also includes acting as the primary contact for Care Coordinators to verify authorizations and project status, scheduling home modification assessments, and maintaining organized digital and physical project files.

Candidates should have previous bookkeeping or accounting experience (mandatory QuickBooks experience), familiarity with insurance billing in healthcare or environmental modifications is highly preferred, and strong verbal and written communication skills for professional correspondence. The ability to multitask between financial data entry and active coordination by phone or email is important.

Benefits include paid time off (two weeks per year), flexible time-off policies, stable 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekday hours, and an hourly pay rate of $20 to $25 depending on experience.
