Dental Medicaid Processing / Front Office Administrator / Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to ensure the smooth operation of our dental office specializing in special health care needs children. This full-time position involves front office management, dental Medicaid claim processing, billing, and coding, bookkeeping, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and patient accounts management.

The practice is a small, relaxed 3-chair general dentistry office that provides compassionate care to children with medical, genetic, cognitive, and socioeconomic challenges.

Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day dental office operations, handling insurance and Medicaid claims, financial management and counseling, medical clearances, records maintenance, completing Explanation of Benefits (EOB), verifying benefits, generating reports, and coordinating appointments.

The candidate must have excellent organizational and customer service skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with Open Dental and insurance systems, and be comfortable working with children. Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.

This position does not offer medical insurance but includes benefits such as 401(k) with matching, paid time off, paid holidays, retirement program, bonuses, and paid education opportunities.

Schedule: Monday 8am-noon; Tuesday to Thursday 12-hour shifts; no weekends.

Pay range: $25 to $31 per hour depending on experience.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years dental office experience
  • Experience with insurance and Dental Medicaid claims processing, billing, and coding
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Front office management experience
  • Bookkeeping skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (fluent)
  • Strong professionalism, phone etiquette, hospitality, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage patient records accurately and maintain scheduling
  • Comfortable working with children and special needs patients
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, problem solver, team player, and self-starter
  • Ability to maintain perfect attendance and follow directives
