This is a part-time position in a mental health office assisting with billing using Simple Practice EHR and administrative tasks. The role requires maintaining confidentiality of all client related matters and reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities include operating office machines (photocopiers, scanners, fax, voicemail, computers), answering phones, directing calls, taking messages, communicating with customers and employees to answer questions, billing insurance companies, verifying insurance, obtaining authorization, maintaining Excel spreadsheets of claims paid and received, and other assigned duties.
Technology skills required: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Abilities required: effective oral and written communication, active listening, reading comprehension, service orientation, and time management.
Preferred 2 years experience with ICD-10 billing coding.
