The Shared Medical Bills Examiner is responsible for reviewing, processing, and resolving medical bills submitted through WeShare’s shared services model. This role involves verifying member and provider information, checking coding accuracy, processing bills in accordance with company guidelines, investigating and resolving billing issues, communicating with providers and members, and maintaining detailed documentation. The position supports continuous improvement initiatives and ensures compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 6 months experience in customer service, administrative, or healthcare support role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to manage high volumes in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with computer systems, databases, and Microsoft Office
Preferred:
- Experience in medical billing, claims processing, or healthcare administration
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, or HCPCS codes
- Understanding of healthcare billing workflows and insurance processes
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
