Join the Patient Financial Services Department at Avita Health System in Crestline.
This position involves reviewing outstanding accounts for assigned payers, resolving payment issues including appealing denials, and working closely with the Billing Coordinator to ensure initial claims are submitted correctly. Responds to inquiries related to hospital claims and account processing.
Qualified candidates must be knowledgeable of regulatory compliance including HIPAA, Medicare Secondary Payer Screening, medical necessity screening, ABN rules, Red Flag Rules, and billing and coding compliance. Understanding of AHS managed care payer rules is required.
Preferred qualifications include an associate degree or pursuing one, AAHAM or HFMA certification or active pursuit, and previous hospital billing experience with knowledge of third-party billing procedures, claim review and analysis.
