Medicaid Billing Specialist

We have an opportunity for a full-time Medicaid Billing Specialist (contract) to coordinate Medicaid claims submission for the company. This position is based in our Resource Center located in Minnetonka, MN. Primary responsibilities include financial oversight of Medicaid revenue line, claims submission, maintaining accurate records, and working collaboratively to ensure timely payment.

Responsibilities include: financial oversight of Medicaid revenue line; submitting Medicaid claims monthly; ensuring billing accuracy for dates and services rendered; working with MCOs/vendors to set up autopay if applicable; managing MCO payments to achieve 100% claims paid via ACH; maintaining service authorization binders and spreadsheets; updating billing system for daily rate changes and resident days out of community; collaborating with community to communicate timely Medicaid conversions; proactively monitoring service authorization expiry and renewals with case managers; maintaining spreadsheets of Medicaid residents, service authorizations, fees, and billing dates; applying Medicaid payments and billing patient obligations in billing system; contacting providers for information and payment/service authorization inquiries; reviewing and resolving Medicaid accounts receivable issues; verifying and reconciling payments; assisting communities with monitoring and reporting residents migrating from private pay to Medicaid or other programs.
