The BCCP Program Specialist is responsible for all aspects of billing for BCCP. Duties include entering billing data into the database, running reports per protocol, following up on client bills until resolved, and communicating with clients regarding billing needs and issues. The role requires daily coordination with staff and clients necessitating excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with computer programs and databases is essential. The Program Specialist will also assist with additional tasks assigned by the program manager or ODH to help achieve workplan goals and the success of the grant.
Responsibilities:
- Enter billing information into database as per protocol.
- Run reports on missing claims/EOB and request these from providers.
- Respond promptly to phone messages and emails.
- Complete documentation accurately, completely, and timely.
- Follow up on client billing issues until resolved and maintain communication.
- Collect and distribute daily incoming mail.
- Document all tasks in the database.
- Develop and run databases and reports as assigned by the Program Manager.
- High school diploma required; additional qualifications as an administrative assistant or medical assistant preferred.
- Healthcare experience and clerical experience required.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; knowledge of Access highly desirable.
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to lift 10-15 pounds.
- Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
