Margiotti & Kroll Pediatrics is seeking a motivated and reliable Medical Billing Specialist with a strong background in accounts receivable within a medical office or clinical setting. This full-time role includes billing, charge entry, payment posting, eligibility verification, patient collections, and resolution of billing issues to maximize reimbursement. The candidate will interact with physicians for billing clarification, maintain accurate patient information, manage remittance, and uphold HIPAA confidentiality.
Responsibilities include handling appeals, claim corrections, patient inquiries, and use of health IT systems to generate and interpret reports related to medical billing and revenue cycle processes. Attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent customer service skills are essential.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (undergraduate degree preferred), certification as a professional coder (CPC, AAPC) preferred, 2-3 years experience in medical billing/accounts receivable (preferably pediatrics), knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Electronic Health Records (Office Practicum), and revenue cycle management software (Waystar).
Candidates must pass a criminal background check and obtain PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
