Perform Certified Athletic Training duties in the Therapy clinic.
Provide a high level of medical service including emergency care, prevention, assessment, referrals, treatment, and rehabilitation to athletes.
Ensure emergency readiness at all sanctioned practices and events.
Provide effective written and oral communication between athletes, coaches, sports performance staff, administrators, as well as the multi-disciplinary medical team regarding the status and progress of athletes.
Maintain athlete confidentiality of team physician treatment plans and medical records. Other athletic training administrative duties as assigned.
Clinic duties include assisting Concussion patients, Physical and Hand Therapists with patient care in Lynchburg and/or Forest, Virginia multi-specialty offices.
Demonstrate ability to perform athletic training duties effectively, including emergency care, injury assessment, documentation, treatment and rehabilitation.
Communicate effectively within the sports medical team.
Demonstrate understanding of policies and procedures for athletic training facility and orthopedic clinic.
Represent OrthoVirginia professionally in the community, including wearing a uniform.
Current NATABOC certification and valid Virginia state licensure or eligibility required.
Experience working as a Certified Athletic Trainer preferred.
Sports Performance and CSCS background preferred.
Master's Degree preferred.
Physical health sufficient to meet ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
