Medicaid Eligibility Specialist I

The Medicaid Eligibility Specialist I plays a key role in facilitating Medicaid approval and recertification processes, ensuring patients maintain active Medicaid status and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include providing Medicaid eligibility information, managing renewals, maintaining records, offering client support, coordinating with healthcare partners, and advocating for patients.

The role is hybrid, requiring presence in the Denver, CO office at least twice a week.

Candidates should have an associate or bachelor's degree in social work, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related fields, with 2+ years' experience in Medicaid or healthcare. Skills in client support, case management, Medicaid procedures (especially Colorado Medicaid), organization, technology, and interpersonal communication are essential.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in social work, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Medicaid, healthcare, or social services
  • Experience in client support, case management, or benefits coordination
  • In-depth knowledge of Colorado Medicaid eligibility and application process
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with case management software and technology tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations
  • Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions
