The Reimbursement Specialist ensures accurate, timely reimbursement so patients can access care without delays or financial confusion. This role helps patients receive life-sustaining therapies without disruption and supports clinicians, pharmacy teams, and care coordinators through reliable billing and reimbursement processes.
Responsibilities include submitting clean claims to payers, reviewing and resubmitting rejected claims, verifying insurance eligibility and authorizations, maintaining accurate patient billing files, coordinating delivery dates and invoicing, resolving billing issues, tracking accounts receivable, communicating with insurers and providers, supporting audits, monitoring payer trends, and participating in quality assurance and training activities.
Candidates should have at least two years of medical insurance or reimbursement experience, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, comfort with billing systems and Microsoft Office, and a customer service mindset. Preferred qualifications include home infusion or specialty pharmacy reimbursement experience, familiarity with CPR+ or CareTend, Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials, and experience with chronic or rare conditions.
This full-time role is onsite in Overland Park, Kansas or Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, working 8:30am – 5:00pm CST or EST. LUX Infusion fosters a patient-first culture and offers opportunities to grow expertise in specialty infusion reimbursement.
