We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Medical Billing Specialist to join our healthcare team. Duties include:

Supervise and mentor the medical billing team to ensure adherence to best practices and company policies
Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of insurance claims across multiple payers
Resolve complex billing issues, denials, and rejections efficiently to maximize revenue recovery
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations, coding standards, and payer requirements
Collaborate with clinical staff and insurance companies to clarify billing information and resolve discrepancies
Implement process improvements to enhance billing accuracy and reduce claim turnaround times
Generate detailed reports on billing performance metrics and departmental productivity for management review

Skills and qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and insurance claim processes
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving abilities to address complex billing issues swiftly and effectively
Proficiency in medical billing software systems and electronic health record (EHR) platforms
Exceptional communication skills for liaising with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams
Ability to interpret healthcare regulations and ensure compliance across all billing activities

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred Experience: Minimum 2 years in medical billing

This role is onsite, located in Fredericksburg, VA. Pay is hourly: $22.95 - $25.00.
