Documentation Specialist

Join AdaptHealth as a Documentation Specialist and play a vital role in managing patient documentation essential for compliant billing and a healthy revenue cycle. You'll collaborate with physician offices, insurance providers, and internal teams to overcome barriers to patient care and payment.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and validating clinical documentation for payer compliance, managing patient eligibility documents, resolving pending revenue issues, coordinating prior authorizations, and ensuring compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and private insurance requirements. You'll communicate with physicians and payers, maintain accurate physician databases, support billing teams, and uphold productivity and quality standards.

We seek candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of administrative experience (insurance, billing, claims, call center, or financial services preferred), strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and customer service skills, and proficiency with computer systems in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 1 year administrative experience in insurance, billing, claims, call center, or financial services
  • Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient with computer systems and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
