Under the supervision of a Physician or Registered Nurse, provide general nursing care in an outpatient surgery clinic setting. Duties include obtaining and documenting vital signs, specialized wound care, preparing equipment, assisting physicians during treatment, administering medications, pre-operative duties such as IV access and lab draws, patient monitoring, maintaining lab equipment and patient records, coordinating appointments, managing inventory, and supporting front office tasks as needed.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Knowledge of medical equipment, nursing care standards, emergency response, and effective communication skills are required.
Educational requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, current LVN licensure in Texas, and current BLS certification.
Physical requirements involve the ability to lift, carry, assist high-risk patients and work full-time with extended hours.
Experience: Minimum 1 year clinic experience. Language: English and Spanish preferred.
Work location: In person, no remote work option.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the State of Texas, in good standing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
