The Veterinary Billing & Medical Records Coordinator position is based at Garden State Veterinary Services in Woodbridge, NJ. This role is key in supporting hospital financial accuracy, medical records processing, and client experience.
Responsibilities include auditing inpatient, discharge, employee, and external billing for accuracy; verifying charges and finalizing invoices; communicating with clients regarding billing and insurance; supporting accounts receivable activities, including payment plans and collections coordination; processing insurance claims and following up on payments; reconciling payments and vendor invoices; assisting with medical records management tasks and administrative support; and maintaining professional, compassionate communication with clients and clinical teams.
Qualifications include veterinary hospital experience (specialty or emergency preferred), previous billing or medical records experience preferred, strong customer service and communication skills, high attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, familiarity with veterinary practice management software (e.g., ImproMed) preferred, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation ranges from $23 to $28 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule Options:
- Sunday - Thursday, 9am - 5:30pm (includes one weekend day and 2-3 major holidays per year)
- Friday - Monday, 9am - 7pm (includes one weekend day and 2-3 major holidays per year)
