Workit Health is seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Specialist to handle rejections and denials, identify denial and rejection trends, and support claims resolution for telemedicine and addiction medicine services.
The role focuses on working accounts promptly, communicating with patients and insurance payers, and helping ensure claims are processed accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, mission-driven behavioral health environment.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM local time. This position is fully remote.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of previous medical billing experience
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Biller (CPB) required
- Experience billing for addiction medicine, outpatient medication-assisted treatment, or telemedicine preferred
- Experience calling health insurance plans required
- Payment posting experience is a plus
- Strong customer service and patient communication skills
- Proficiency with medical software, insurance websites, and EHR systems; Elation or Candid preferred
- Experience with MS Word and Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must maintain compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations
