Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. is seeking a meticulous and experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join the team in a full-time, remote, US-based role. This position is essential to supporting the organization’s financial health by ensuring billing processes are handled with accuracy and efficiency.
The role supports a mission-driven hospice and palliative care environment and involves working across the billing cycle for patients of all ages. The selected candidate will help ensure services are billed correctly and that the organization continues to provide compassionate care to patients and families.
Proven experience as a Medical Billing Specialist or in a similar healthcare administrative role.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, billing codes such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, and the revenue cycle management process.
Experience with hospice or palliative care billing is highly desirable.
Proficiency with medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex billing issues.
