Medical Coding Representative I working Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
The role focuses on applying CPT-4 and ICD-10 codes by translating dictated pathology reports accurately and in a timely manner. The position also supports accounts receivable operations by reviewing coding discrepancies related to payer denials, communicates regularly with supervisors, peers, and billing representatives, and assists with special projects as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical coding experience preferred
- 2+ years of related work in pathology or laboratory billing preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- AAPC CPC certification required
