We are seeking an experienced Customer Accounts Specialist - Medical Billing to join the Revenue Cycle Management team in Lake Mary, FL. This is a 6-month assignment with a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, and is fully on-site.
The role focuses on patient account management, billing inquiries, insurance explanation review, outstanding balance follow-up, and support for collections and customer service processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance processes, and revenue cycle management
- Experience in healthcare customer service and/or patient collections
- Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Remittance Advice (RA)
- Previous experience in a billing or customer service call center environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Preferred: secondary education, medical certification, or related healthcare training
- Preferred: experience working within the healthcare industry
- Preferred: familiarity with CRM systems and customer service tools
- Preferred: knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
