Innovative Ventures (affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a full-time Medical Infusion Biller responsible for office and hospital billing, infusion collections, and related tasks. Responsibilities may change at any time at management's discretion.
This role is in-person at the corporate location in Burr Ridge, IL.
Specific duties
- Print appointment schedules and track billing for each assigned billing location.
- Bill infusions daily, verifying HCPC codes, drug quantity, EMR documentation, and pharmacy delivery tickets.
- Print and mail HCFA 1500 forms to insurance companies, review primary explanations of benefits, and attach them to secondary claims.
- Track drug for patients who were not infused and coordinate returns with the clinic and pharmacy.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
- Monitor and report assigned billing tasks to the direct supervisor.
- Work with clinical staff to obtain missing documentation to complete billing in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in medical billing practices required.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and Outlook preferred.
- Experience with CPR+ and/or CareTend preferred.
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, may be required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A and B, influenza, and COVID-19.
