The position is part of the Dermatology Admin team at CPUP, located at 3535 Market Street in Philadelphia, PA, and follows a hybrid schedule with 1 day onsite and 4 days remote/work from home.
Key responsibilities include investigating claim denials and underpayments, appealing for payment or making appropriate adjustments, escalating denial trends or root causes, performing patient account research, handling write-offs according to policy, answering patient and front desk inquiries, and meeting productivity and quality targets.
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare professional billing, health insurance, or an equivalent field
- Ability to work assigned claim edit and follow-up work queues
- Strong judgment in identifying denial trends and escalating root causes
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance billing guidelines
- Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards
