NHC HomeCare Florida Regional Office is seeking an Insurance A/R Specialist to join the team in Panama City, FL. Reporting to the Billing Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely collection of home care accounts receivable from Medicare, managed care, and commercial insurance.
The position supports claim follow-up, denial resolution, and communication with patients and internal teams to help resolve outstanding balances and ensure effective reimbursement.
Requirements & Qualifications
High school diploma; additional business and computer courses preferred.
- 3+ years of third-party healthcare billing experience
- Preferably home health care billing experience
- Experience with multiple carriers, EOBs, and claims denials
- Knowledge of Medicare and third-party insurance guidelines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
- Strong customer service and telephone etiquette skills
- Investigative problem-solving mindset
