Established in 1987, Pacific Medical, Inc. is a distributor of durable medical equipment specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, prosthetics, and orthotics.
This is an onsite full-time opportunity in the Tracy office. The Medical Billing Specialist will manage the insurance billing process for orders and ensure accurate claims submission.
Responsibilities include verifying eligibility, benefit coverage, and authorization requirements; obtaining authorizations as needed; processing files within deadlines; contacting patients for information needed to process claims or bill patients; and working with Work Comp carriers for authorizations and related processing.
• High school diploma or equivalent • Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute • 1-2 years of medical billing experience preferred
