Charlotte Community Health Clinic is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to support billing operations for its medical, dental, and behavioral health services.
This role focuses on collecting payments, managing patient accounts, handling billing issues, submitting insurance claims, correcting claim edits, and helping ensure clean claim submission and timely reimbursement.
The position reports to the Revenue Cycle Supervisor and is part of a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center serving underserved communities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) required
- 1+ years of billing experience in a medical setting
- Prior Epic experience
- Strong understanding of billing systems
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Analysis and documentation skills
- Strong time management
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in a medical environment
- FQHC CBCS preferred
- Prior FQHC experience preferred
