We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Biller with specialized experience in cardiology to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cardiology billing, with electrophysiology experience as a plus, and proven expertise in accurate coding, claim submission, and reimbursement optimization through effective follow-ups and appeals.
Responsibilities include:
- Accurately process and submit claims to insurance companies.
- Review and verify coding accuracy, ensuring compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines specific to electrophysiology.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding claims, including denial management and appeals processes.
- Work closely with electrophysiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure all procedures are documented and coded correctly.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, insurance requirements, and changes in coding related to electrophysiology.
- Handle patient billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare and analyze billing reports to support revenue cycle management.
- Collaborate with the billing team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of medical billing experience with a focus on electrophysiology or cardiology.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding specific to electrophysiology.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
