Skilled Wound Care is seeking a Lead Medical Biller to oversee daily billing operations and support the financial health of the organization. This role serves as a subject matter expert for the end-to-end claims lifecycle, helping ensure accurate, compliant, and timely submission of medical claims across private, government, and third-party payers.

The position is hybrid and based at the company office in Playa Vista, California.

Key responsibilities include supervising and training billing staff, supporting quality assurance audits, managing workflow and team capacity, resolving billing issues, reviewing and submitting claims, verifying documentation and insurance coverage, following up on outstanding claims, handling denials and appeals, and maintaining compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, Medi-Cal Managed Care, and other billing regulations.

Qualifications

Good verbal and written communication skills
2+ years of Lead Medical Biller experience required
Medical billing diploma or equivalent work experience
Lytec or Medisoft experience preferred
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
High school diploma or equivalent required
